Constructional fire protection is a major topic in the private sector and in public buildings, hotels and the hospitality industry. Fire protection panels from SUN WOOD combine the design of untreated wood with a fire protection classification. Our fire protection panels meet the highest demands in terms of spreading flames and smoke production. The fire protection boards certified according to DIN EN 13 501-1 B-s2, d0 are spruce 3-layer boards, in a brushed or chopped version. The fire protection boards certified according to DIN EN 13 501-1 A2 s1 d0 are gypsum boards with a lightly brushed wood veneer.

Our fire protection boards, certified for Europe, USA & Canada, are available from us in the format 2990 x 1250 x 19 mm (3-layer board) as well as 2600 x 1250 x 16-19 mm and 3000 x 1250 x 16-19 mm (gypsum board). If you need a special panel format, we can also offer you special cuts: please contact us!
Fire protection classes—inspection reports
SUN WOOD fire protection panels combine the design of untreated wood with fire protection classes DIN EN 13-501-1B (Europe), CAN/ULC-S102 (Canada) and ASTM85 (US).
Visual & tactile experience
1B s2, d0 // No veneer, no laminate – just straight to wood. Before we finish our fire protection panels made of wood with our unique decors, we subject them to a special surface treatment. By chopping and brushing, we emphasize the natural wood grain of the board and give it a particularly natural look and feel.
A2 s1 d0 // Gypsum boards with lightly brushed and printed wood veneer.
